1776 Commission

Okay kiddo, so imagine you have a group of grown-ups called the 1776 Commission. They want to teach everyone about American history in a very special way. They want to make sure people understand how great America is and how important it is to follow the Constitution.

The Commission was started by former President Donald Trump in 2020, and they wrote a report called the 1776 Report. This report talks about how America is a really good country and how we should be proud of our history. It also says that some other people might say bad things about America, but we should ignore them.

However, some people don't agree with everything the Commission says. They think that it's important to talk about the bad things that happened in American history, like slavery and discrimination. They also think that we should teach a more accurate and balanced version of history, so we can learn from our mistakes and do better in the future.

So, in short, the 1776 Commission wants to teach everyone that America is great, while other people want to teach a fuller, more accurate history of our country. It's up to each person to decide which version they believe and how to learn about American history.
