2006 transatlantic aircraft plot

In 2006, some very bad people made a plan to blow up airplanes that were flying from England to America. They wanted to use liquids to create a big boom and hurt a lot of people. But the good guys (people who work to keep us safe) found out about their plan before it could happen. They arrested the bad guys and saved a lot of lives. This is why it's important to have people who can protect us and keep us safe.
