AIS-SART

Okay kiddo, have you ever been on a boat or a ship? Sometimes when people are on boats, they use something called an AIS-SART.

AIS stands for Automatic Identification System. It's like a little computer on the boat that helps other boats and people on land know where the boat is and where it's headed. It can also help the boat avoid accidents by showing it where other boats are.

SART stands for Search and Rescue Transponder. If the boat gets in trouble and needs help, the SART sends out a signal to let other boats and rescue teams know where the boat is.

So, when someone uses an AIS-SART, it helps keep them safe by telling other people where they are and helps rescue teams find them if they need help. It's kind of like magic, but it's actually really smart technology!
