Abiogenesis

Abiogenesis is the process by which life began on Earth. It means that living things came from non-living things. It happened millions of years ago when the Earth was a very different place than it is today. Over time, chemicals in the environment such as water, oxygen, and sunlight combined to form simple molecules like proteins and fats. These little molecules "bumped into" each other, combined together, and became more and more complex. Eventually, these molecules turned into living things, like plants and animals, which is why we're alive today!
