Aggie Bonfire

Aggie Bonfire is a big pile of wood that students at Texas A&M University make every year to celebrate their school spirit and get excited for a big football game against their rivals, the University of Texas Longhorns. Think of it like building a giant tower out of blocks, but instead of blocks, they use logs and sticks of wood. It takes a lot of hard work and planning to build the bonfire, and students work together to make it a success. On the night of the bonfire, it is lit on fire and everyone cheers and has a good time. However, in 1999, the bonfire collapsed and many people were hurt or killed. So, now the tradition is suspended, but people still remember it and talk about it as a cherished part of their school's history.
