Ancient Egyptian technology

Ancient Egyptian technology is about how the people who lived a long time ago in Egypt (which is a country in Africa) made things and how they used tools to help them do things. They were very clever and had many different inventions that helped them with things like making buildings, farming, writing, and more.

One of the coolest things they made were the pyramids. The pyramids were giant buildings made out of big blocks of stone. The people who built the pyramids didn't have cranes or bulldozers like we have today, so they had to use ramps and ropes to move the heavy blocks. It was hard work, but they figured out how to do it and the pyramids are still standing today!

Another important invention was papyrus. Papyrus is made from a plant by the same name, and the ancient Egyptians used it to write on. They didn't have paper like we do now, so they used this plant to create a thin sheet to write on. They also used ink made from mineral pigments to write with. They wrote on everything from scrolls and tablets to walls and rocks.

The Egyptians also had ways of creating glass objects, which was invented around 2000 BCE. They made glass beads, jars, and even windows. They melted sand and then cooled it down slowly to create the glass.

In terms of farming, they created irrigation systems which allowed them to transport water from the Nile River to their crops to help them grow. They also used plows to help them dig into the soil and plant their crops.

Overall, the ancient Egyptian people were very smart and creative in the way they used technology to create things that have lasted for thousands of years.
