Attack tree

An attack tree is a diagram that helps people think about how a person or computer might break into a system. It's a bit like a family tree, but instead of listing family members, it lists all the different ways an attacker might get in. Attack trees help people think about security device and how to make them safer. Attack trees might have layers or branches. Each branch represents one way an attacker might gain access. For example, an attacker might try to figure out a password, use special software to hack in, or get inside through a hole in the system. Attack trees can help people think of all the possible ways an attacker might break in, so they can take steps to keep the system secure.
