ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Beaker culture

Okay kiddo, do you know what a beaker is? It's a special cup that scientists use to mix chemicals and liquids.

Now imagine a group of scientists who work together and share these beakers. They all put their own mixtures inside and then they take a sample of each others’ mixtures to try and learn more about how it works. They also try to find out how different mixtures can be combined to make new things.

This group of scientists is called a "beaker culture" because they all work together and share their beakers. It's like a big club where everyone is trying to learn more and discover new things. Pretty cool, huh?
