ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bindery

Imagine you have a LOT of papers, like a big book or a magazine. If you just leave them loose, they might get lost or mixed up and that would be a big mess! Bindery is when you take those papers and attach them together tightly, so that they form one unit and don't go wandering off on their own.

There are many different ways to do this, but some common ways are to staple the papers together, or punch holes in them and tie them with a string or ribbon. Some people use a special machine called a binder that squeezes the papers together and glues them to a spine (that's the part in the middle where all the pages come together).

Once you have your papers all bound together, you can read them like a real book or magazine without worrying that any pages will fall out or go missing. Bindery is important because it keeps important information organized and easy to find, and it makes books and magazines look professional and neat.
