Bison hunting

Bison hunting is when people try to catch a big animal called a bison. Bisons are very large and live in large groups called herds. Bison hunting was very important for native American tribes for many years, as they used every part of the bison for food, clothing, and tools.

When people go bison hunting, they have to be very careful because bison are very strong and can be dangerous. They use special tools, like spears and knives, to catch the bison. Sometimes, they even use horses to help them chase down the bison.

Once the bison is caught, people carefully cut up the animal and use every part of it. They use the meat for food, the hides for clothing and shelter, and the bones and tendons for tools. Bison hunting used to be very important for many people, but today it is mostly done for sport or for conservation purposes.
