ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cash (Chinese coin)

Cash is a type of coin that was used in China a long, long time ago. It's made of metal and has a hole in the middle, kind of like a donut. People would use these coins to buy things they needed, like food and clothes.

They are called "cash" because the word actually comes from a Chinese word "qian" which means money or coin. It's a lot like how we use the word "bucks" to talk about money sometimes.

These coins were really important in China's history because they were used for over a thousand years! Can you imagine using the same type of money for that long? It would be like if we still used pennies from over a thousand years ago!

Today, you can sometimes find these coins in museums or antique shops, and they can be very valuable because they are so old and rare.
