Competency management system

A competency management system is like a special box that a company, like a big group of people who work together, uses to keep track of all the skills and abilities that their employees have. These skills and abilities are called competencies.

Imagine that the company has a lot of different jobs, like cooking food, fixing computers, making phone calls, and writing emails. Each of these jobs needs different skills and abilities, like using a stove to cook, knowing how to type fast, or being friendly on the phone.

To make sure that everyone in the company has the right skills and abilities for their job, the company puts all of these skills and abilities into the competency management system. This helps them to see who is good at which skills and abilities, and who needs a little more help to get better at them.

This way, the company can make sure that they have the right people doing the right jobs, and that everyone is working at their best. It also helps the employees to see what skills and abilities they need to work on to get better at their job and progress in their career.
