ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Contamination control

Contamination control is the process of making sure that unwanted things like dirt, dust or bacteria don't get into places where we don't want them, such as our food or the air we breathe.

Think of it like playing a game of keep-away, but instead of trying to keep a ball away from someone, we're trying to keep unwanted things away from our stuff.

We use different methods to control contamination, like washing our hands and tools, wearing clean clothes and protective gear, and making sure the spaces we work in are clean and free of debris.

This is important because unwanted things can cause problems. For example, bacteria can make us sick, and dirt or dust can damage equipment or products we're trying to make.

So, we need to make sure we're doing everything we can to keep these things out of our spaces and away from what we're trying to protect.
