ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Contemporary imprints of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion

Okay kiddo, have you ever played the game of telephone where you whisper a message into someone's ear and they pass it on to the next person and so on? Well, a long time ago, some people made up a story called the Protocols of the Elders of Zion to scare and harm Jewish people. This story was like a game of telephone because it was passed on from person to person and became more and more exaggerated over time.

Even though the story is not true and was proven to be made up, some people still believe it today. They use it to spread hate towards Jewish people and blame them for problems in the world. It's kind of like blaming your little brother or sister for something they didn't do just because you don't like them.

The scary thing is, these people who believe the story have made modern versions of it, which are called contemporary imprints. These versions are updated to fit with the times we live in and spread hateful messages online and in person. Just like how you know not to believe everything you hear in the game of telephone, it's important to know that these imprints are not true and should not be shared or believed. We should always be kind and respectful to others, no matter who they are or what they believe.
