ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Content Addressable Parallel Processor

A content addressable parallel processor (also called a CAM) is like a really big calculator with lots of buttons on it. You program it with instructions, and then it solves problems quickly. The special thing about a CAM is that it remembers where it has already done certain things – like it remembers what buttons it has already pressed. This makes it much faster and more efficient than a regular calculator. It can also find answers to complicated problems much more quickly.
