Cosmicism

Cosmicism is a type of world view that sees the universe as an unfeeling, chaotic place that has no greater purpose. This means that even though people may be important and have certain goals, in the universe, humans don't really matter. This also means that people don't have much power over the events that happen in the world. Cosmicism suggests that the only way to gain any sense of control is to accept the lack of control and learn to live with it. It also suggests that the universe is so big that it’s impossible to know or understand everything.
