Declawing of crabs

Declawing of crabs means removing their claws. Crabs use their claws to catch food and protect themselves from predators. But some people catch crabs for food and they remove their claws so that they cannot hurt them while they are being cooked. This is not very nice to the crab because it needs its claws to survive in the wild. It might be like taking away a toy or a pencil you use to write with. So, it is important to handle crabs carefully and with respect.
