Discourse is just a fancy word for the way people talk and communicate with each other. When we talk to one another, we use words and phrases to get our ideas across. Sometimes, we may talk in a really formal way if we are at a fancy event or meeting, and other times we may talk really casually if we are just hanging out with our friends.
Communication is how people talk to each other and exchange information. When we communicate, we use lots of different tools, like writing, speaking, gestures, and facial expressions. When we talk, we use words to convey what we mean, and we also use our body language and tone of voice to help people understand how we feel.
So together, discourse and communication are all about how we talk to each other and share information, using words and other tools like body language, gestures, and tone of voice. When we communicate well, we can understand each other better and build stronger relationships!
