Distance variance

Distance Variance is the amount by which something changes in distance. If something moves farther away it's distance variance would be positive and if something moves closer it's distance variance would be negative. For example, if you are walking and you walk 5 steps forward that would mean your distance variance is +5. If then you take 3 steps back, your distance variance would be -3.
