Dutch pollutant standards

The Netherlands, like many other countries, has certain standards for how much pollution is allowed in its environment. This means that factories, businesses, and other places must not put too much pollution in the air, water, and land. To make sure this happens, the Netherlands has set a certain amount of pollution that businesses and factories are allowed to put into the environment each year. If businesses put more than this amount of pollution into the environment, they have to pay a fine. This helps to make sure that the air, water, and land are healthier and safer.
