Engineering sample (CPU)

An engineering sample is like a toy for grown-ups who make computers. It's a version of the thing they're making that they use to test it and make sure it works how they want it to.

Think of it like playing with a toy car before you build the real one. You want to make sure it can drive and turn the way you want it to before you spend a lot of time and money building the real car.

In the same way, engineers use engineering samples to make sure the computer part they're making, called a CPU, works the way they want it to before they start making lots of them to sell to people.

The engineering sample might have some differences from the real CPU, but the important thing is that it helps the engineers figure out how to make the real CPU work the way they want it to.
