Ethnozoology

Ethnozoology is the scientific study of the relationships between humans and animals. It examines how people interact with, use, and shape the living world around them. Ethnozoology looks at how animals and people interact, what types of animals are kept as pets, how people use animals for food and other resources, and how different cultures view animals. We learn about how humans and animals are connected and understand the important roles animals play in human lives.
