False conviction

False conviction happens when somebody is found guilty of a crime that they did not actually commit. It could happen for a lot of different reasons like if the wrong person was accused or if the evidence or witnesses were unreliable. False convictions can result in serious consequences like being put in prison, fined, or even the death penalty!
