Falsifiability

Falsifiability is a way of testing if something is true or not. Scientists look for things that might prove something wrong. If something can be proved wrong, then it is called falsifiable. For example, if someone says that ghosts exist, that can be tested by seeing if ghosts appear when scientists set up special detectors. If no ghosts appear, then we can say that ghosts do not exist. If something cannot be proved wrong, then it is not falsifiable.
