Flashlight

Okay kiddo, let's talk about flashlights.

Do you remember playing in the dark and how it's hard to see things? A flashlight is something that helps light up dark places.

A flashlight has a tube-like body where you hold it with your hand. At one end, there's a clear glass or plastic piece that we call the lens. When you turn on the flashlight, the lens helps to focus the light to make it brighter.

Inside the body of the flashlight, there is a part called a battery, which provides energy to the flashlight. It's like how we need food to give us energy, the flashlight needs the battery’s power to make the light shine.

There's also a little lightbulb inside the flashlight that helps produce the light. The bulb helps convert the battery’s energy into light energy that shines out the lens.

To turn on the flashlight, there's a button usually at the end or on the side of the body of the flashlight. When you push that button, it completes an electrical circuit that sends energy from the battery to the lightbulb, and then the bulb turns on, and you can see everything in the dark.

So, now you know how flashlights work! Remember, always be careful when using them and don't shine the light in anyone's eyes.
