Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching

Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) is a technique used to study molecules inside a cell. It works by shining a bright light on a particular area of a cell, which causes the molecules in that area to stop glowing - called photobleaching. Then, researchers can watch the molecules in that area start to glow again, which is called fluorescence recovery. This helps scientists understand how molecules move inside the cell and how cells work.
