Futurism (art)

Okay kiddo, so you know how art is when someone creates something that expresses their thoughts or feelings, right? Futurism is a type of art where people imagine what the future might look like.

Imagine you have a crystal ball and you can see into the future. That's what futurism is like for artists. They try to think about what kind of things might exist or happen in the future and draw pictures of them.

Sometimes these pictures might look a little silly, like flying cars or robots doing all the work for us. But other times they might be more realistic, like buildings that are made using new materials or really fast trains.

Futurism started a long time ago, back in the early 1900s. Back then, people were really excited about all the new technology that was being invented, like airplanes and cars. So artists started making pictures that showed what the world would be like if we had more and more machines.

Nowadays, futurism is still a popular art style, and lots of people like to imagine what life might be like in the future. So, that's really all futurism is about: people drawing pictures of what they think the world might look like in the future!
