Gimbap

Gimbap is a yummy Korean food that is similar to sushi. It is made with cooked rice, vegetables, meat or fish, and sometimes even egg, all rolled up in a seaweed wrap.

The rice is sticky so that it holds all the ingredients together. The vegetables are usually sliced thin and include things like carrots, spinach, and pickled radish. The meat or fish can be cooked or raw and is cut into long strips. Sometimes, kimchi, a spicy and tangy Korean condiment, is added for extra flavor.

The ingredients are placed on a sheet of seaweed, which is called nori. Then, the cook rolls everything tightly into a long tube shape, like a sleeping bag. It is cut into small round pieces and served.

Gimbap is popular in Korea as a snack or lunch food. It is healthy and filling, perfect for a day out or a quick bite. Kids especially love it because it is easy to hold and tasty to eat.
