Hörgr

A hörgr is like a special place where people used to go a long, long time ago to connect with the gods. It was usually made by putting stones or rocks in a certain pattern and then maybe adding some dirt or grass to make a little hill or mound. People would bring offerings to the hörgr, like food or jewelry, and they would pray and meditate there. It was a way for them to feel closer to the spirits and to ask for help or guidance. Nowadays, hörgrs are still sometimes used by people who follow certain traditions, like Norse or Pagan beliefs, as a way to honor their ancestors and connect with the divine.
