Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol

Hydropower sustainability assessment protocol is a way to make sure that a hydropower project (a power station that uses the energy of falling water to produce electricity) is built and run safely, without hurting the environment. The assessment looks at things like how the project will affect the water, the air, and the creatures living in the water and the plants and animals living around it. It also looks at how people living nearby will be affected by the project. The assessment protocol helps make sure that the project won't harm the environment or that anyone else will be hurt by it.
