Independent Media Center

An independent media center (IMC) is a place where people can create and share news stories and information about their community. It can be as small as a local newspaper or as big as a news website with lots of stories from all over the world. An IMC collects news from people and publishes it so that others can learn about what’s happening in their community. The IMC is independent from big media companies, so the stories it shares are not funded or controlled by companies or governments. It is a way for people to make their own media and share it with others.
