ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Inductive probability

Inductive probability is when we try to make guesses about something based on what we already know. It means that if we are looking at something with a lot of evidence in its favor, like a lot of things that have happened in the past that point to one outcome, we can make a guess about what will happen in the future. For example, if someone has been late for work five times in a row, you might guess that they will probably be late again.
