ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Interface (computing)

Interfaces in computing are like how two different things (like a computer and a printer, for example) can work together. It's like an invisible line that connects two things so they can talk to each other and understand each other. For example, you need to have an interface between your computer and your monitor so that your computer can tell the monitor what to display on the screen. Without the interface, the two would not know how to communicate.
