ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Internationalized domain name

Internationalized domain names (often called IDNs) are ways of writing website addresses using letters or characters from different languages that aren't English. For example, an IDN can be written using letters from Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish, or many other languages. This means that somebody from any of those countries can type in their own language and still reach a website.
