ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Internet censorship

Internet censorship is like someone telling you what you can and can't watch, listen to, or read on the internet. Just like how your parents might tell you what TV shows or books you can watch or read, countries can tell people what websites, videos or social media posts they can see. This is done to stop people from seeing or hearing some things that governments think might be bad for their citizens—like extreme violence, hate speech, scams, and certain words and images.
