Lagrangian point

A Lagrangian Point is a special spot in outer space where two different gravitational forces balance each other out. Imagine that you have two tug-of-war teams standing in a ring, each team pulling on a rope connected to the other team and keeping them in the same spot. This is like a Lagrangian Point, only instead of teams it is two giant objects like planets or stars that are keeping each other in the same place. The Lagrangian Points are useful for space exploration because it is a place to safely park a satellite or spacecraft and have it stay there without needing a lot of fuel.
