Least-squares spectral analysis

Least-squares spectral analysis is a way to look at data, like sound or numbers, and figure out what types of waves it is made up of. Imagine a wave made up of lots of little smaller waves. By looking at how these small waves fit together and how they change over time, least-squares spectral analysis can tell us what type of waves are in the larger wave. It can be used to see the patterns that are happening and to see how different patterns are related.
