Lighthouse of Alexandria

The Lighthouse of Alexandria was a big beacon that helped sailors find their way to the shore. It was built a really long time ago in ancient Egypt by some really smart people. The lighthouse was really tall, just like a really big tower, and it had a big fire on top that burned really brightly.

Sailors used to sail across the sea to get to places, but sometimes it was really hard to see where they were going. This is where the Lighthouse of Alexandria comes in. When sailors saw the big fire on top of the lighthouse, they knew that they were getting close to the shore. The light from the lighthouse would guide them to land safely.

The Lighthouse of Alexandria was really important because it helped make sailing safer for people. It was so important that it became one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. A really long time ago, people made lots of cool things that they thought were amazing and special, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria was one of them.

Even though the Lighthouse of Alexandria isn't around anymore, people still remember it as an important part of history. It shows just how clever people were a really long time ago and how they found ways to help each other stay safe.
