Literary forgery

Literary forgery is when someone pretends to be someone else and makes up a story that they say someone else wrote or said. For example, if you make up a story and say it was written by a famous author, that is literary forgery. People do this to try and make money or become famous. It's like a lie, but with books or stories instead of words.
