ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Low bit

Imagine you are playing with Legos and you have a big box of them. Now, if you have a very small box to store some of those Lego pieces, you can only put a few of them inside, right? That's kind of like what low bit means.

In technology, "bits" are little pieces of information that computers use to store and process data. Think of them like the Lego pieces you use to build things. When we say something is "low bit," it means the computer is using a smaller number of these little pieces (bits) to store or process information.

So, just like you can only fit a few Legos in a small box, a computer can only store or process a certain amount of data with a small number of bits.

To help you understand this better, let's say you are playing a game on your computer. If the game uses low bit graphics, the pictures might not look as good or detailed as they would if the game used higher bit graphics. This is because there are fewer bits available to store and display those pictures.

Overall, when something is low bit, it means it might not be as detailed or high-quality as it could be if more bits were used.
