Magnetic resonance elastography

Magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) uses magnets and sound waves to create images of your body. It works by sending sound waves into your body, then using a special type of magnet to detect how those sound waves move through your tissues. By seeing how the tissues respond to the sound waves, doctors can create images that show how stiff certain tissues are and how solid or liquid they may be. These images can help them diagnose problems like cancer or other diseases.
