Mellah

Mellah is a type of town in North Africa and some parts of the Middle East. It is a walled area that people have been living in since the 1500s. Most of the people living in mellahs are Muslims. They are known for their culture, food, architecture, and narrow alleyways. In the past, many mellahs were created to protect Jewish people from harm and discrimination. Today, mellahs are still an important part of many cities in North Africa and the Middle East, and they often provide a safe space for Muslim people to practice their religion and live their lives in peace and comfort.
