ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Microfilmmaking

Microfilmmaking means making short videos, usually under 10 minutes long, with a very small budget. You might make a microfilm with just a camera, some lights, and maybe some props or costumes.

Making a microfilm is like making a little movie. First, you come up with an idea for what you want your microfilm to be about. Then you plan out what shots you need to film and where you'll film them. You might need to build a little set or borrow someone's house to film in.

Once you have everything planned out, you start filming. You might need to do a few takes of each shot to make sure it looks good. Then you edit all the footage together to make your microfilm.

Microfilmmaking is a great way to practice your filmmaking skills and share your ideas with others. Plus, since you don't need a lot of money to make a microfilm, pretty much anyone can do it!
