Military Demarcation Line

A military demarcation line is basically like a line on a map - something that divides two different areas. In this case, it divides two countries or groups that have a conflict with each other. It's like a border, or a line on the ground. On either side of this line are people that are enemies and don't get along - so the line helps to keep them separated.
