Moot hill

Okay kiddo, have you ever played "king of the hill"? A moot hill is like a special kind of hill where grown-up people used to gather a very long time ago to talk about important stuff.

It was usually a hill in a town or village where people would climb up to meet and talk. This was called a "moot" (which means "a meeting"), and the hill was called a "moot hill".

People would climb on top of the hill and have big discussions about things like laws, problems in the village, and other important topics that needed to be talked about.

It was like a special place where people could speak their minds and try to solve problems together. Nowadays, we don't really need moot hills anymore, but they were very important a long time ago!
