ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Multi-messenger astronomy

Multi-messenger astronomy is when scientists use different types of 'messengers' or signals to look at the universe. Usually, scientists use light that comes from stars and galaxies to learn about them, but with multi-messenger astronomy they can use more kinds of signals like radio waves, X-rays, and even particles like neutrinos. By looking at all of these different kinds of messengers, scientists can learn even more about space and the universe than before!
