Nazi concentration camp badge

Okay kiddo, so a long time ago there were some very very bad people called Nazis. They didn't like some types of people like Jewish people, or people who were different from them. They wanted these people gone and so they made special places called concentration camps to keep them in.

Now, people who were sent to these concentration camps had to wear a badge on their clothes to show the Nazis who they were. The badges were different colours and shapes depending on what type of person you were. The Jewish people had to wear a yellow star with a black letter "J" on it. Other people from different countries or with certain disabilities had to wear different badges too.

It was a very sad and scary time, and we learn about it now so we can make sure nothing like that ever happens again.
