Neutron flux

Okay, so you know that everything in the world is made up of tiny little things called atoms? And inside those atoms, there are even tinier things called protons and neutrons?

Well, sometimes we want to study those neutrons because they can do some really cool things, like split atoms apart or help us make new things.

And when we talk about a "neutron flux," we're basically talking about how many neutrons are flying around in a certain area at a certain time. It's kind of like talking about how many cars are driving on a road at any given time.

Scientists use machines called reactors to create a space where there are a lot of neutrons all flying around together. This is called a "neutron flux" because it's like a bunch of neutrons flowing together.

And when we have a lot of neutrons all together like this, we can study how they behave and use their energy to do things like generate electricity or treat cancer.

So that's what a neutron flux is! It's a bunch of little neutrons flying around together, doing cool things.
