ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

One-shot film

One-shot films are movies shot in one continuous take. That means that the camera films the whole movie without stopping or cutting away from the action. This way, the audience experiences the entire film in real time, as if they were there with the actors. One-shot films are usually made to add tension and excitement to the story and to make the audience feel like they are part of the action.
