Polygamy in Christianity

Polygamy means having more than one spouse, which is allowed in some cultures and religions. In Christianity, polygamy is generally not accepted and is not supported by the Bible. The Bible says one man should have one wife and they should be faithful to each other. Some people argue that certain characters in the Bible, like King Solomon, had multiple wives, but it was not seen as an ideal or positive thing. Overall, most Christians believe that the Bible promotes monogamy as the best and healthiest way to have a marriage relationship.
